Our growing group practice encompasses internal and family medicine, medical and surgical specialties, and has comprehensive on-site diagnostic centers conveniently located in the communities we serve in the Cleveland metro area.
Job Description: Responsible for providing professional nursing care for patients following established standards and practices.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides general nursing care to patients. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards.
- Maintains exam rooms for necessary supplies and materials. Ensure cleanliness. Prepare list of medical supplies needed. Prepares equipment and aids physician during treatment, examination, and testing of patients.
- Observes, records and reports patients’ condition and reaction to drugs and treatments to physicians. Dispenses medication as directed. Educate patients/family about diagnostic procedures, medications, nutrition and maintenance of health and wellness.
- Ensures appointment preferences are given to patients in emergency situations. Greets patients and prepares them for physician examination. Screens patients for appropriate information. Instruct patients in collection of samples and tests.
- Maintains/reviews patients records, charts, and other pertinent information. Posts tests and examination results.
- Responds to/refers incoming patient treatment-related phone calls. Maintains patient confidentiality.
- Performs other duties as required and assists others as needed.
Experience/Education:
- License/Certification: State RN license. Current BLS and ACLS certification.
- RN degree, BSN preferred.
- Minimum of one-year professional nursing experience. Membership in local, state, and national societies is encouraged.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory, regulations, and practices to give and evaluate patient care.
- knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish/maintain a safe work environment.
- Skills in applying and modifying the principles, methods, and techniques of professional nursing to provide ongoing patient care.
- Skill in identifying problems and recommending solutions.
- Skill in preparing /maintaining records, writing reports and responding to correspondence.
ABILITIES:
- Ability to maintain quality control standards.
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
- Ability to communicate clearly.

Environmental/ Working Conditions/Physical Demands– Combination of office and exam settings. Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations, and other conditions. Varied activities include walking, reaching, bending, and lifting. Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. It requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions.
Equipment/Tools:
Surgical Equipment, Oxygen, Office equipment, and medical equipment for taking vital signs.
